Launch of the Canons Park Gardening Club -Sunday 15 April 2018, 12.30pm to 2.30pm. Our lovely George V Memorial Garden is in need of some TLC!! Now that we have no park keeper, the council is only going to be cutting the grass during the year and tidying up the garden as and when it can. We desperately need keen gardeners - with or without experience - to help us return this little oasis of calm at the centre of the park to its former glory. Come along to the Friends' stall and find out from organisers Conchi and Matthew how you could help by joining our new gardening club. All ages welcome. Come on..... we can't do this without you!!
Friends of Canons Park AGM, Wednesday 16 May 2018 at 8pm. Our Guest speakers will be the architect and a representative of the developers of the Lodge building in Canons Park. Plans have been submitted to Harrow Council to turn the building (at the Donnefield Avenue entrance to the park) into a community and arts centre, a proposal that has been fully supported by the Friends. Come along and see the plans and feel free to put forward questions to our speakers.
